Purple sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) has a fairly large anthocyanin pigment in the skin, namely between 0.75313-1.3170 mg / 100g, for this reason, the skin of purple sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) has the potential to be a natural dye. The skin extract of purple sweet potato (Ipoea batatas L.) in this study will use temperature variation treatment on the staining resistance quality of the passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) stem section preparations.The rate of degradation (degradation) of anthocyanins tends to increase during the storage process which is accompanied by an increase in temperature. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature on the quality of staining resistance of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) section preparations and to find out the results of the research could be used as a source in high school biology learning.This type of research is true experimental research design with the posttest-only control group design. The research design used CRD (completely randomized design). The treatments in this study were extracts of purple sweet potato peel (Ipomea batatas L.) with room temperature, temperature of 30ºC, 40ºC, 50ºC, 60ºC to see the quality with the parameters of contrast, clarity, contrast and resistance by observing the preparation of the passion fruit stem section (Passiflora edulis). for 14 days.The data analysis technique used was the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney advanced test. The results showed that there was an effect of various temperatures of purple sweet potato peel extract (Ipomea batatas L.) as a natural dye on the resistance quality of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) stem section preparations between temperatures of 30ºC and 40ºC. The results of this study can be used as a source of biology learning for Class XI for the structure and function of plants
